Hi. Welcome to The Book End... where I write reviews about the books I read and maybe whatever else I might feel like sharing. Majority of my reviews will cover the genre of paranormal/fantasy works. I got turned on to the Anita Blake series by a co-worker at the library I had worked at for 4 years. Well... ever since I opened the first page of that Laurell K. Hamilton book, I haven't been able to read much of anything else, just a few of my fave authors of other genres. That makes it tough when many patrons would ask if I had read anything good. These were not vampire-werewolves reading patrons... LOL.
I'm a SAHM to my first baby girl. She'll be turning 2 this December.... WHERE HAD THE TIME GONE!!!!???? I graduated from the University of Maine @ Augusta, May 2010, with a bachelors in Information and Library Services. I toyed with the idea of pursuing my Masters in Library Science but, I'm more passionate with school libraries. Teaching students the needed tools to critically ask the needed questions for researching- websites, articles, journals. And with collaborating with teachers to the uses of web 2.0 technologies to take learning beyond just a textbook. A school library and school librarian is more than just books!
With all that being said, I'm planning to pursue my K-8 teaching license and acquire my media specialist licenses as well. I figure 2 licenses is better than 1.
